Plot Synopsis: A young American woman travels to England with her professor and another post-graduate student to inventory the contents of a Victorian manor home that is going up for auction. While doing the project, she discovers the sexual confession diaries of Celeste DuBois, a woman who lived in the manor in the 1890′s. Under the spell of the current manor owner, she is drawn into a plot of sexual intrigue. eroticism, BDSM, and the search for hidden jewels as the plot unfolds simultaneously in Victorian and contemporary London.
