I direct bdsm and fetish movies with an ever-present eye towards combining the art of film-making with the psychological and emotional drama that bdsm and fetish play evokes in the players. I have never been a fan of the currently popular “gonzo” style of bdsm porn. To me, this is not only NOT real erotic power exchange, but in its current form of development on the internet, is simply sliding ever more towards degrading, meaningless bad porn. My goal in every film I shoot, be it a 16 minute short movie, or a 2 hour feature film, is to bring mainstream production values to the project, interesting storylines which are compelling, and “actors” that are actually lifestyle BDSM and Fetish players to avoid the current trap of many other bdsm studios of simply paying porn stars a great deal of money to get their asses whipped and to be fucked for no apparent reason. So, Wasteland continues after 15 years to produce high quality, compelling and, most importanly, REAL bdsm scene movies with professional production values. |
